SUCCUMBS MONDAY
AT CHARLES CITY

Mrs. Thomas Jerrell, 70, died about 6:00 a.m., Monday, February 15, at the Cedar Valley hospital in Charles City. She had been a patient since January 28, 1954.

Mrs. Jerrell, nee Louise Mary Buckmann, was born in Nora Springs, Iowa, on January 22, 1884, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buckmann. She was baptized in the Lutheran church shortly after her birth and was confirmed in the same faith by the Rev. L. Westenberger of Rockford.

She was married to Thomas Jerrell on May 17, 1917. The couple had four children -- three boys and one girl.

Mrs. Jerrell is survived by her sons John of Nora Springs, Phillip of Mason City, Thomas of Peoria, Illinois, and her daughter, Mrs. Don Harmin (Nadine) of Des Moines. Besides her children she leaves an aged mother, who soon will be 96 years of age and because of failing health resides at a local nursing home; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Frudden (Bertha) of Nora Springs and Miss Nellie Buckmann of Des Moines; also a brother, John of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Buckmann, in 1935, and a brother, Henry, in 1949.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church, with the Rev. Amedee Fredette in charge.
