MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Mark A. Winters, 31 of 504 Bradford, died Saturday (May 11, 1996) at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at St. James Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. David Andserson.

Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. today at the Fullerton Paterson James Funeral Chapel, 123 2nd Street S.E., Mason City and again one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery with a flag folding ceremony by the Mason City Memorial Association. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make memorials to the Mark A. Winters Memorial Fund in care of his mother Barb Query at P.O. box 263, Mason City or his special friend Stacy Yezek at P.O. Box 112, Marble Rock.

Mark was born on December 28, 1964, in Mason City the son of Gary Winters Sr. and Barb Olson Winters. He attended school at the Mason City High School and then entered the Army. After two years he was honorable discharged. He was employed by Charlson construction company of Marble Rock and did roofing work on his own. He also was currently a cook at Clancey's II in Marble Rock. He was often found on his dirt bike, fishing or spending time with his children.

Mark is survived by his special friend Stacy Yezek, his son Evan, both of Marble Rock, and his daughter Ashley of Watertown, South Dakota; one step-son Nathan Germundson of Marble Rock, his mother Barb Query of Mason City, his father Gary and wife Cheryl Winters Sr. of Hampton; his Maternal Grandmother Ruth Grosland of Kensett, his Paternal Grandmother Lucille Winters of Clear Lake; four sisters Mrs. Gerald (Kari) Palmer of Des Moines, Tara Winters of Mason City, Heather and Delores (DeDe) Winters, both of Hampton, two brothers Gary and wife Susan Winters Jr. of Des Moines, Brad Winters of Mason City; four step-sisters Mrs. James (Debi) Foy, and Cindy Query, both of Mason City, Mrs. Dave (Tina) Reynolds of Plymouth, and Lisa Paulsen of Hampton; and four step-brothers Billy and his wife Jane Query of Mason City, Bobby and his wife Kathy Query of Fertile, Ricky and his wife Carole Query of Northfolk, Nebraska, and Danny and his wife Kelly Query of Mason City.
