CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Stanley H. Ploeger, 85, a resident of rural Charles City, died Saturday (May 11, 1996) at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services for Stanley Ploeger will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robin Stoops officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. today, 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, and after noon Tuesday at the church.

Stanley H. Ploeger was born Aug. 17, 1910, in Floyd County.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Charles City; one daughter, Connie Fountain of Ottumwa; four sons, Alan of New Ulm, Minn, Marlin of Ionia, Calvin of Crawfordville, Ind, and Lyndon of Mankato, Minn.; 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one grandson.
