Rites Are Held in
Nora Springs Church

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA — Funeral serices for Mrs. Daniel Dean were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church with Stanley Jaynes of Mason City, officiating, Frank Pool sang, with Mrs. E. C. Moody as accompanist. Burial was in the Rudd cemetery.

Clara Ann Turner was born in DeKalb county, Illinois, on October 22, 1869. She was but one year old when he family moved near Waterloo, where they resided until she was 15 years of age when they moved to farm 2½ miles northwest of Nora Springs.

She was married to Daniel Dean in 1887. To this union six children were born.

She is survived by her husband and five children: Clyde Dean, Mrs. William Matte, Mae Baughey, and Mertie Dean, all of Nora Springs, and Byron Dean of Phoenix, Arizona; and by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. L. J. Stich of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and Mrs. James Dunn of Scenic, S. Dak. Mrs. Dean's father, Jacob Turner, was cared for in this home. He was a Civil war veteran who died about four years ago at the age of 99.
