ELIZABETH L. TRELOAR

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Elizabeth L. Treloar, 85, of 112 East Congress, died Saturday (April 17, 1999) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, 202 N. Hawkeye Ave., Nora Springs, with the Rev. Richard Pippert and the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye St., Nora Springs, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Elizabeth L. Treloar was born March 30, 1914, in Mason City, daughter of Edward and Lois (Board) Taylor. She married Howard Ellsworth Treloar on Feb. 26, 1938, in Nora Springs.

Elizabeth graduated from Mason City High School and she then worked at State Brand Creamery in Mason City for many years. She and her husband farmed south of Nora Springs until moving into town in 1984. She enjoyed ceramics and gardening and was a dedicated wife and mother.

Elizabeth was a member of Nora Springs United Methodist Church, the Community Club and a past member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by five children, Robert H. Treloar and his wife, Judith, Vero Beach, Fla.; Susan Welp, Nora Springs; Jay Treloar, Mason City; Bruce Treloar, Vero Beach, Fla., and Ross Treloar and his wife, Lori, Nora Springs; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carson Taylor, Phoenix, Ariz., and Hal Taylor, Sitka, Alaska; one sister, Lorraine Slade, Parker, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard, on Nov. 10, 1997; a son-in-law, Raymond Welp; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Treloar.
