CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Margaret (Mrs. Harland) Ransom, 76, of 306 Fifth Ave., died Monday (Jan. 18, 1999) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, with the Rev. Darwin Miller, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, Charles City, officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens south of Charles City.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Hauser Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday.

Margaret Elizabeth Ransom was born March 10, 1922, in Nashua.

She is survived by two sons, John Ransom, Oelwein, and Richard Ransom, Waldron, Ark.; two daughters, Dixie Steele, Ham Lake, Minn., and Kathleen Jensen, Waukesha, Wis.; and four sisters, Susie Monroe, Charles City, Christine Hvitved, Marian Hannermann and Garland Jensen, all of Nashua; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, a sister and a grandson.
