CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Robert "Bob" Alfson, 84, of Charles City, died Sunday (Oct. 4, 1998) at the Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Wesleyan Church, Charles City, with the Rev. Paul Boostrom, the Rev. Paul Davis and the Rev. Delores Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery near Bristow.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with the family greeting friends from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Robert Lewis Alfson was born July 2, 1914, at Revere, Minnesota.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Alfson, of Yukon, Okla.; one daughter, Delores Walker, of Lakewood, Colo.; stepson, David Howe, of Roland Park, Kan.; and two brothers, Marshall Alfson, of Shingle Springs, Calif., and Harold Alfson, of Oakhurst, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives and a son.
The family suggests memorials to the Gideon Society.
