CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Mabel R. Stoeber, 103, of 807 Fifth St., died Tuesday (Aug. 20, 1996) at the Salsbury Baptist Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with the Rev. Blair Rohde-Frank of the West St. Charles United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the Story Memorial Gardens, south of Ames.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Mabel Ruth Stoeber was born Aug. 23, 1892, near Pearl City, Illinois.

Survivors include one daughter, Thelma Johnson of rural Charles City; one son, Leslie Stoeber of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. her husband, three infant children, two sisters and four brothers.

Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Ames or the American Heart Association.
