FLOYD, IOWA -- Wilbur H. Howe, 79, of 1549 Quail Ave., Floyd, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1996, at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

Wilbur Harrison Howe was born May 29, 1917, at Greene.

Survivors include his wife, Marlys, of Floyd; two daughters, Marlene Kokal, of Charles City, and Linda Osier, of St. George, Utah; one son, Dennis Wilson, of Minneapolis; two brothers, Clyde Howe and Alton Howe, both of Charles City; five grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
