Harold H. 'Pat' Enabnit

BOULDER, COLORADO — Harold H. "Pat" Enabnit, 87, died Sunday (Feb. 15, 1998) at Terrace Heights Care Center, of Boulder, from complications due to Parkinsons Disease.

He was born Oct. 23, 1910, in Swaledale, Iowa, to Frederick Enabnit and Kathryn Alter Enabnit.

He married Doris Britton on May 29, 1935, in Charles City, Iowa. He worked at Armour Meat Packing Plant in Mason City while living in Clear Lake for many years and before that in construction and as a farmer and a truck driver in Iowa. During World War II, Mr. Enabnit was employed as a guard in an aircraft factory in Kenosha, Wis.

Mr. Enabnit moved to Boulder in 1993 from Ventura, Iowa.

He enjoyed watching football and going fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Doris, now of Boulder, Colo.; a daughter, Marlys Millhiser, of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Olive Welsh, of Clear Lake; and two grandchildren, Jay Millhiser, of Las Vegas, Nev. and Joy Ransom, of Erie, Colo.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, David, Arthur, Elgin, Carrol, Edward, and Fritz Enabnit, all of northern Iowa.

Cremation has occurred. Memorial services will be held in Marble Rock Cemetery at a later date.
