ROCKFORD, IOWA - Funeral services were held here on Wednesday for Mrs. J. W. Johnson, 81, who died Sunday night at her home in Rockford.
She was born on April 1, 1868, in Iowa County, daughter of Wymer and Christine Moitzfield.
On February 18, 1888 she was married to John Wesley Johnson at Koszta. In February 1948, the couple celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
She leaves her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hess, Charles City, and Mrs. Bruce Young, Nora Springs; three sons: Theodore Johnson, of Rockford, Ralph Johnson, Terre Haute, Indiana, and Earl Johnson, of Floyd; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, and three sisters.
