rites Tuesday
at Charles CityCHARLES CITY — Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Independent Mission Church, for Albert Edward Tonn, 77. He died Saturday night at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, where he had been a patient since January 15. Death was due to cancer.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with the Grossmann Hage Funeral Home in charge.
Born in Williamstown he was married to Lena Cass in Waterloo in 1920. He was a retired farmer and an employe of the Charles City Western Railroad
Survivors include a brother Lonnie, Marshalltown; four sisters, Mrs. Warren Monroe; Mrs. Arthur Grahlman; and Mrs. Henry O'Connell, all of Charles City; and Mrs. Christena Kalk-bremer, New Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his wife and three brothers. Mrs. Minnie Overby.
