Wilbert N. Nixt

CHARLES CITY — Wilbert N. Nixt, 86, of 107 Park Drive, Charles City, died Tuesday (Nov. 10, 1998) at the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek, of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with a 7:30 p.m. vigil scriptural wake service. There will be further visitation from 9 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.

Wilbert Nicholas Nixt was born Dec. 5, 1911, in Union Township, Butler County.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of Charles City; two sons, Steven, of Granger, and Gary, of St. Joseph, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Lindsay, of Tempe, Ariz.; Julie Dilley, of Husan, Mont., and Gwen Nixt, of Oreon, Utah; five stepdaughters, Darlene Ayres, of Dumont; Delores Grove, and Gloria Meyer, both of New Hampton; Duenda Zwanziger, of Nashua; and Linda Lindner, of Plainfield; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one grandson, one granddaughter and one sister.

Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa, Charles City center.
