CHARLES CITY — Jeanette (Mrs. Cletus) Goebel, 80, of 802 N. Grand Ave., died Thursday (Nov. 12, 1998) at the Ramsey Home, Des Moines.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with a 3 p.m. rosary by St. Francis Circle and a Vigil Scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. There will be additional visitation one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
Jeanette Theresa Heck Smith Goebel was born Feb. 21, 1918 in Clayton County.
Survivors include four sons, Donald Smith, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Gerald Goebel, of Oskaloosa, Dale Goebel, of Urbandale, and William Goebel, of Urbandale; one daughter, Jean Evers, of Edina, Minn.; brother, James Heck, of Mitchell; and three sisters, Bernadine Kent, of Freemont, Neb., Veronica Ballard, of Floyd, and Leonette Fryer, of Popular Bluff, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her second husband, one brother, and one sister.
