John 'Jack' Funte

CHARLES CITY — John "Jack" Funte, 72, of 807 Fifth St., died Saturday (Dec. 19, 1998) at the Salsbury Baptist Home, Charles City.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with Dr. Todd Yeaton, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

John Joseph Funte was born July 28, 1926, at Elma, Iowa.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Funte, of Iowa City; and one brother, William Funte, of Urbandale.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Charles City.
