CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Vera M. Hendrix, 76, of 406 Sixth Ave., died Sunday (Dec. 20, 1998) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colwell United Church of Christ, Colwell, with Pastor Gale Richards officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, with the family present from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8:30 to 10:30 Wednesday morning at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church.
Vera M. Hendrix was born Sept. 22, 1922, on a farm northeast of Floyd.
Survivors include her husband, Alton Hendrix, of Charles City; four children, Carolyn Wight, of Lincoln, Neb.; James Hendrix, of Burlington; Raymond Hendrix, of Charles City; and Virginia Koeff, of Janesville; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Ernest Hoppe, of Floyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
