CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Irene Nikolas, 78, of Charles City, formerly of Osage, died Wednesday, August 5, 1998, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Champion Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip Recker, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to services.

Irene Nikolas was born June 16, 1920 in Butler County, near Greene.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Burlage, of Ashton, Idaho; Terry Mork, of Harrisonburg, Va.; and Mary Altick, of Osage; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dean Pattschull, of Waverly, and Everett Pattschull, of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two daughters.
