FELTZ, BUENTING, FLESSNER, COOK, ROVER, ENDER

ALLISON, IOWA - JoAnn A. Feltz, 77, of Allison, died Saturday, Sept. 26, at Waverly Health Center, Waverly.

She was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Wellsburg, daughter of George and Anna Buenting Flessner. She married Duane Feltz on July 21, 1951, in Astoria, Ore.

Mrs. Feltz graduated from Rudd High School, Rudd, in 1950. She worked for a telephone company in Seattle, the Iowa State University switchboard, as a teachers' aide and library assistant in Marion, as the chamber secretary in Forest City and as a journalist for the Harlan Tribune, where she later retired from. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Allison, and was a previous president of the United Church Women's Group. She was the author of a five-county tourism paper and a cookbook.

Survived by: her husband; two sons, Dennis (Sharon Cook) of Cedar Falls and Douglas of Allison; three grandsons; two sisters, Fannie Mae Rover and Eilene Ender; and a brother, Arnold Flessner.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, George and Henry Flessner.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. James Lutheran Church, Allison, with burial in Allison Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Allison.

Memorials: may be directed to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW Ninth Ave./Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
