CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Hauser Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary H. Spencer, 85, mother of Cora Spencer, of this city, who died Monday at the Cedar Valley Hospital, where she had been a patient the last 11 days, following a stroke suffered at her home. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

She had been a resident of this city almost 40 years.

Her husband preceded her in death on September 2, 1920.

Born Mary Huldah Clark, Oct. 14, 1860. to Giles and Ruth Clark at Watertown, N.Y. She was married to Frank Spencer in 1879, at Cherry Valley, Illinois. To this union were born three children, who survive: Clark and Frank Spencer, both of Waterloo, and Miss Cora H. Spencer, Charles City; also leaves three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
