CHARLES CITY, IOWA - George Bartz, 84, died Friday (Dec. 27, 1996) at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

George Herbert Bartz was born January 7, 1912 in Chickasaw County.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of Charles City; one son, Dennis Bartz of Charles City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
