Burrell Bray

CHARLES CITY. IOWA - Burrell Bray, 83, died Thursday (Dec. 26, 1996) at the Eleventh Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home with the Rev. Friederike "Freddie" Tarr of Colwell United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday.

Burrell Bray was born Sept. 3, 1913 in rural Floyd County.

Survivors include one daughter, Shari Vetter of Greene; one son, Eldon Bray of LeMars; two grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Chavez of West Covena, Calif., Ruth Lahmon of Osakis, Minn., and Evelyn Gilbert of Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and five brothers.
