CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, for Clarence W. Young, 68, a life-long resident of Charles City. He died at his home Tuesday after bing in failing health 11 years. At that time he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born March 19, 1890, in Charles City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Young.

He was married to Alma Matteson January 4, 1915, at Mason City.

He had worked at Dr. Salsbury's Laboratories and Sherman Nursery.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Merville, West Des Moines; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Irving Schuknecht, Charles City.

His parents, one son, two sisters and two brothers, preceded him in death.
