CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Funeral services were held Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home for Frank Smith, 74, who died Friday at the Charles City Rest Home where he had been a patient since Nov. 2.

He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at his home on August 19, complications of which resulted in his death. The Rev. Arthur Schuldt, paster of the First Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Smith was a resident of 1002 Freeman Street, and was a stone mason by trade. He had been employed by the Moltz Construction Co., here.

He is survived by his wife, Eva, two sons, Wallace, Charles City and Raymond, Minneapolis, Minn., a daughter, Mrs. Paul Stutte, Chicago, a step-son, Ray Floyd, Sarasota, Florida, seven grandchildren, three brothers, Levi, Hub and Ed, all of Charles City, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Naylor, Newport Beach, Calif., and Ina Wiltse, Salinas, Calif.
