CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Francis A. Grow, 75, Tuesday at the Cedar Valley hospital, where he was taken Monday for surgery.

He was a mason and bricklayer and worked as recently as Saturday at his job.

He was born in Springvale, Wisconsin, on December 2, 1867, to Allen D. and Sarah Lord Grow.

On October 27, 1892, he married Mabel Leonard at Britt; six children were born. He married Mae Frances Kingsbury October 7, 1929; they moved here from Mason City.

He leaves widow, a son, Sam A. Grow, Waterloo, and four daughters, Mrs. Harry B. Russell and Mrs. Arthur Hawkins, Mason City; Mrs. Harvey E. Daniels. Elkader, and Mrs. J. P. Johnson, Clear Lake; also a brother, Ralph Grow, a half brother, John Justin, Bassett, and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Sanders, Nora Springs, and Mrs. Vinnie Grey, in California; eight grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Covenant Evangelical Mission church. Burial at Britt, Iowa; body will be at Grossmann's until Thursday noon.
