Doris E. Miller (nee) Felsman

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA -- Doris E. Miller, 78, of 481 West Wilson, Bement, Illinois, and formerly of the Nora Springs area, died Tuesday (June 20, 1995) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nora Springs Christian Church, 102 N. Hawkeye, with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Doris Miller was born Dec. 31, 1916, in Rockwell, the daughter of Charles E. Felsman and Minnie B. (nee) Kalke Felsman. She married Thelmer Miller on April 1, 1936, in Rockwell. Doris was a homemaker and enjoyed cross stitching, dancing and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include three sons, Dave Miller and his wife, Sue of Bement, Ill.; Ronald Miller and his wife, Nancy of Emmetsburg, and Duane Miller and his wife, Pat, of Temple, Texas; four daughters, Diane Bauer and her husband, Dennis, of Gallatin Gateway, Mont.; Sharon Eiler of Waterloo; Sue Bednar and her husband, Frank, of Rockford, Ill., and Darlene Baxter and her husband, Mike, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter-in-law, Verna Miller of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Valera Allen of Mason City; 23 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 2, 1990; one son, Thelmer Miller Jr.; and one sister, Irene Miller.
