CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Hazel V. Hartmann, 83, of rural Charles City, died Sunday (June 18, 1995) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main and Gilbert Streets, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Hazel Hartmann was born November 22, 1911, in rural Ionia, Iowa.
Survivors include one son, Robert Hartmann of New Hampton; twin daughters, Dorothy Welter and Doris Welch, both of Nashua; four brothers, Donald Crooks of Ionia; Mearl Crooks of Waverly; George Crooks of Charles City and Robert Crooks of Nora Springs; a sister, Dorothy Stansbury of Nashua; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two great-grandsons.
Those considering an expression of sympathy may consider a memorial in Mrs. Hartmann's name directed to the family.
