CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Alvin A. Morse, 89, died Friday (Oct. 27, 1995) at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home with the Rev. Blair Rohde-Frank of West St. Charles United Methodist Church and the Rev. Robert Porisch of First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hauser Funeral Home and will continue from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday.

Alvin A. Morse was born Dec. 6, 1905, in Earlham.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; three daughters, Marjorie Nordmeyer of Greene, Jan Leraaen of St. Ansgar and Linda Montet of West Des Moines; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Harriet Dorman of Phoenix, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sons, five sisters and two brothers.
