Jesselyn Marie Legg was born August 16, 2006 in Mason City, the daughter of Timothy Laird and Heather Ann (Sutter) Legg and died in her home in Marble Rock of an accidental fire.
Jessy, also known as “Peanut”, was a beautiful little girl that loved her index finger. She liked to twirl her hair and always had a baby doll in her hand. She was young, but, was already learning how to work the system. Jessy would throw a temper tantrum to get her way with the other children. Big brother, Andrew was Jessy’s favorite person, and was an easy push over for her. She loved to talk on the phone and from time to time would call Dad’s boss, at work, since he was first on speed dial. Jessy loved to be outside and enjoyed playing dress up. She would wear Dad’s work boots around the house. Jessy was not intimidated as the large boots tapped her little bottom while she crossed the room. She was small but mighty.
Jesselyn will be sadly missed by her parents: Timothy and Heather Legg of Marble Rock; brother: Andrew Heideman of Marble Rock; sisters: Heaven Legg of Marble Rock and Olivia Smith of Osage; grandparents: Bob (Kathy) Walker of Riceville, Pat Legg of Marble Rock; great grandparents: Don (Bonnie) Sutter of Manson, Marian Eccles of Manson, Virginia Fisher of Marshalltown; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Jesselyn Marie Legg Memorial Fund, First Security Bank and Trust, 101 S. Main St., Marble Rock, IA 50653.
