Gloria Linderkamp, 75, formerly of 209 Cherry St., Rockwell, Iowa, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1997) at the Nora Springs Care Center, in Nora Springs, Floyd county, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ronald Bolinger officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. today at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., Mason City, and will continue until time of service at the church in Rockwell.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Gloria Linderkamp Memorial Fund.

Gloria was born Aug. 20, 1921, the daughter of John and Jenny (Read) Jenkins, on the family farm near Mason City. She attended the Mason City school system and later graduated from Mason City High School. In 1939 she graduated from Hamilton School of Commerce.

On March 19, 1944, Gloria was united in marriage to Edward H. Linderkamp at the John Jenkins farm. Gloria was later employed by the Portland Co-op for 17 years as a bookkeeper. During the years she worked at the co-op she also helped her husband farm.

Gloria and Edward were involved in Moose Lodge No. 1328 and Elks Lodge No. 375. They also liked to play cards with friends. She was an avid bowler who had bowled in many different leagues. Gloria had a touch for sewing and mending. She was a member of the quilting circle in Rockwell and did the mending for the Rockwell Community Nursing Home. She spent a lot of her spare time crocheting. She had an artistic talent that she shared with her family. Gloria later got involved with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.

Mrs. Linderkamp is survived by one daughter, Julie Linderkamp of Des Moines; one grandson, Brian Howe and his wife, Teresa, of Rockford; and two nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoots and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoots.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward, on Jan. 1, 1981; one daughter, JenEtta Howe; one son, James; two sister, Laura Jenkins and Roseann Hoots; one brother, John Jenkins; and one grandson, Ronald Howe.
