NASHUA, IOWA - Franklin Cerwinske, 73, of 40 Bayou Drive, died on Friday, January 31, 1997, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Linda Butler officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Nashua VFW Post #6792.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with the family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
Franklin Martin Cerwinske was born June 1, 1923, at Powersville.
Survivors include his wife, Vera, of Nashua; two sons, LeRoy Cerwinske and Bruce Cerwinske, both of Nashua; one daughter, Janice Harper of Nashua; two sisters, Mildred Hamm of Charles City, and Hazel Kapka of Apple Valley, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandson.
