Hazel Sarah Brink

CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Hazel Sarah Brink, 93, died Thursday (Jan. 2, 1997) at Floyd County Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, with the Rev. Deborah Stowers, of Rudd United Methodist Church, officiating.

Hazel Sarah Brink was born June 26, 1903, in Iowa Falls, daughter of Charles and Maye (Weaver) Long.

She married Arthur Brink in 1927, at Iowa Falls. Hazel and her husband farmed near Rockford all of their married life until retiring. She resided the past nine years at the Salsbury Baptist Home.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Orville Thompson and his wife Arlene of Storm Lake; Valdeva Herman and her husband Larry of Viroqua, Wisc.; Marilyn Pohl and her husband Elvin of Pequot Lakes, Minn.; Marlys Tanner and her husband Cliff of Carleton, Minn.; Sheilia Whipple and her husband Gene of Duluth, Minn.; and Audrey Bailcy and her husband John of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Inez Thompson, and Mildred Rush; and one brother, Glenn Long.

Shecker Colonial Chapel, 114 North Hawkeye Street, Nora Springs, in charge of arrangements.
