CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Alfred A. Beardmore, 79, of 1904 Cedar Crest Lane, died Wednesday (Dec. 11, 1996) at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Jack Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Alfred Andrew Beardmore was born March 20, 1917, at Rochester, Minnesota.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothea, of Charles City; one son, Thomas Beardmore, of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Laird Ling, of Denver, Colo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
