CLINTON, IOWA — Mary L. Merrick, 75, died Monday (March 14, 2005) at Bickford Cottage.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lemke Funeral Home North Chapel, 2304 N. Second St. in Clinton, with the Rev. Roland Schneider officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mary was born March 19, 1929, in Rockford, Iowa, to Harry E. and Grace E. (Malloy) Kreider.

She married Charles E. Siefken on Sept. 9, 1946, in Rockford. He preceded her in death in February 1963.

She then married Merlin Merrick on Dec. 23, 1966, in Rockford. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2002. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Merrick is survived by her children, Robin Buikema, of Clinton, Kenneth (Jane) Siefken, of Littleton, Colo., Connie (Harlan) Krieder, of Plover, Wis.; two stepchildren: Roger Merrick and Karen Thal, of California; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and a brother.

Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice in lieu of flowers.
