BAINBRIDGE, GEORGIA — Scott A. Fingalsen, 45, of 10610 Pine Hill Road, Bainbridge, Ga., died Tuesday (March 15, 2005) at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Christian Church, 102 N. Hawkeye in Nora Springs, with the Rev. Glen Bandel officiating. Burial will be at Rock Grove Cemetery, Nora Springs, Floyd county, Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye in Nora Springs.
Scott Allan Fingalsen was born March 31, 1959, in Mason City. Scott is the son of Allan and Elizabeth (Young) Fingalsen. Scott graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1977.
After high school, Scott enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves. Scott lived in Oklahoma City and Pryor, Okla. While he was in Oklahoma, he was a truck driver and a painter. Scott then moved to Bainbridge, Ga., and was a self-employed painter.
Scott was baptized and a member of the Christian Church in Nora Springs. He enjoyed golfing and was a NASCAR fan.
Scott is going to be sadly missed by his son, Seth Fingalsen, Adrian, Mo.; a special friend, Donna Massey, Bainbridge, Ga.; parents, Allan and Elizabeth "Bette" Fingalsen, of Nora Springs; one sister, Dianne Christiansen and her husband, Jay, Nora Springs; two nieces: Kylee and Bailey Christiansen, of Nora Springs; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilmer and Anna Fingalsen, and William and Teresa Young; and two cousins: Guy Gordon and Larry Timm.
