CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Patricia Cline, 79, of Charles City, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Funeral services for Patricia Cline will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd. Pastor Robert Holdorf will officiate. Inurnment will take place later in Oakwood Cemetery, Floyd.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will continue at the church Wednesday an hour prior to the service.

The Hauser Funeral Home, 641-228-2323, www.hauserfh.com , in Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Cline, 79, of Charles City, died Sunday, February 22, 2009, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Patricia Anne Lodge Cline was born October 12, 1929, at Mason City, the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Clarke) Lodge. She graduated from the Colwell School in 1947.

On January 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Donald Cline. Over the years Patricia was employed as a salesperson at Fareway and Spurgeons. She also cleaned houses for many years. Patricia was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church at Floyd, the V.F.W., 600 Club and the Women’s Bowling Association where she served on the board. Bowling was of special interest to her. She had been inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame and in 2008 became a lifetime member of the Women’s Bowling Association.

Her other interests included golfing, playing cards, woodworking, flower gardening, playing computer games, chatting on the internet and visiting with family and friends. Family was always important to Patricia and she took every opportunity to share her life with them.

Living family members include a daughter, Terrilyn (Jess) Griffin of Charles City; five grandchildren, Deanna Neve and special friend Russell Penland, Chad Krueger, Melissa (Chris) Chaney, Kristal (Pat) Adams and Kelly Olmstead; 11 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Meagan, Kathrine and Christopher Chaney, Ashley and Kenin Neve, Chase Krueger, Caitlyn and Caleb Green and Ian and Alex Olsmtead.; two step grandchildren, Aaron (Casey) Karnes and Kelly Jo Karnes; special cousins, Delbert Cross of Floyd and Lucille Novotny of Marian; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on February 26, 1985; a son, Michael Cline in May of 1983; and two brothers, James and John Lodge.
