Funeral services for Jolene Kingery will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2003, at the First Presbyterian Church, Greene, Iowa, with Pastor Paul Uzel officiating.
Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery at Greene. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., today, Thursday, September 18, 2003, at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene. There will be a public Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Jolene Marguerite Kingery was born December 11, 1950, in the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City. She was the daughter of Maynard and Lorraine (Ewald) Kingery and died at home on Sunday, September 14, 2003.
Jolene received her education in the Charles City Public Schools, graduated in 1969 and attended Hamilton Business College, Mason City. She has been employed at Hormel Foods in Austin, Minnesota for 31 years.
As a youth she was active in 4-H and church youth activities. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church, Greene, and attended the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Austin, Minn. Jolene enjoyed needlepoint and attending the activities of her nieces and nephews. She was a fan of Elvis Presley and Country Music.
Jolene will be greatly missed by her mom and dad; sisters Linda Keith and husband David, Rockford, Marilyn Muhle, Solon; and her nieces and nephews who she dearly loved: Laura and Ryan Van Roo, Janette and Nathan Friesen, Angela Keith, Eric, Lean and Jacob Muhle.
