Addie Dry, age 91, of Charles City, died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Cedar Health in Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa.

Addie Fulton Dry was born on December 23, 1917, at Wythville, Virginia, the daughter of Isaiah and Bertie (Lowe) Fulton. She received her education at Cripple Creek, Virginia. Addie was known for her expertise as a professional seamstress. Her interests included sewing, crocheting, quilting, and making Barbie Doll clothes. Addie will be remembered for the dozens of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls that she made.

She always took special interest in her grandchildren and would take every opportunity she could to share her life with them.

Living family members include a daughter, Jewel (Rod) Flood of Floyd; three grandsons, Michael (Brandi) Flood, Jeremy (Julie) Flood and Edward (Betty Jo) Harville; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Russell and Ralph Fulton.
