SHERRILL -- Barbara J. Lovik, 65, of Sherrill, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at her home.

Services will be held noon Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Floyd.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003 at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral home in Dubuque, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Barbara was born July 15, 1938 in Charles City, a daughter of Lawrence and Annette (Carroll) Krumrey.

Barbara Jane Krumrey married Harley Lovik on July 27, 1957 in Charles City. She spent over 20 years as a teaching associate for the Dubuque Community School District. Barbara was a volunteer Girl Scout leader and worked with Boy Scout Troops 48 and 94. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Barbara touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She has been a longtime member of the Sherrill United Methodist Church.

Barbara is survived by her mother and step-father: Annette (Willis) Smith of Charles City; her husband: Harley Lovik of Sherrill; two daughters: Debra (Terry) Simpson of Loveland, Colo. and Diane 'Dee' Anderson of Orlando, Fa.; one son: Dana 'Bear' Lovik of Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren: Molly (Tim) Murphy-Beecher. Christy Murphy, Caressa and Olivia Anderson and Talon Simpson; one brother: Robert (Kathy) Krumrey of Charles City; and one sister: Linda (Merlin) Litterer of Greene.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A Barbara J. Lovik memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque, the Wendt Center, Terry, Kelly, Trish and Marilyn. God bless you all.
