CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Rebecca 'Becky' Sue Patrie, 47, of 515 6th Ave., Charles City, died late Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, after an illness at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, with the Rev. A.C. Wegner officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Charles City. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to direct memorials to the family.

Rebecca Sue Patrie was born in Charles City on October 25, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Sweet) Learn. 'Becky' grew up in and attended and graduated high school in Charles City, where she had been a life long resident. On January 10, 1994 Rebecca was united in marriage to Lyle Patrie at the Floyd County Courthouse in Charles City. 'Becky's' interests and leisure activities included crocheting, helping others whenever possible and in any way she could, nurturing her family and spending time with her friends.

Those grateful for having had the privilege of sharing in Becky's life include her husband Lyle Patrie of Charles City; her father, Robert Learn of New Smyrna, Fla.; daughter, Jessica Bogue and her husband Mike of Bassett; five grandchildren, Mikaila, Hailey, Andi, Joseph and Zachary Bogue, all of Bassett; three sisters, Ramona Hauser and her husband Gary; Shelley Haught, all of New Smyrna, Fla. and Sharon Clinton of Colwell; two brothers, John Learn of Charles City and Patrick Learn of Colwell and she leaves behind one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, eleven nieces and twelve nephews. Becky will be greatly missed, but we all know that another angel found her way home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; daughter, Tori; her sister, Virginia Kiefer; special friend Julie Cagley and her grandparents.
