RALEIGH, N.C. - Ramon E. Snyder, 65, a former Charles City resident, died Monday, August 25, 2003, in Raleigh, N.C.

The Brown-Wynn Funeral Home on Maynard Road, Cary, N.C., is in charge of arrangements. The funeral will be held on Thursday, August, 28, 2003.

Ramon Snyder was born February, 16, 1938, the son of Arthur E. and Elfrieda (Pete) Snyder. He received his education at the Immaculate Conception School and the Universities of Winona, Minn., and Milwaukee, Wis.

Ramon Snyder and Lois Abrams were united in marriage on January 28, 1961 in Winona, Minn. He retired from IBM.

He is survived by his wife, Lois, and four children, Jim, Tom, Linda and Kim; four grandchildren; two sisters and a brother, Betty (Larry) Koesling, Menominee, Mich., Shirley Schmitt, Charles City and James (Nancy) Snyder of Cedar Rapids; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law.
