CERWINSKE, BONSALL, RODAMAKER

Robert P. Cerwinske, age 67, of Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa, passed away Friday afternoon, June 27, 2003, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City, with burial at Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

He was born in Charles City on June 22, 1936, the son of Albert and Lois (Bonsall) Cerwinske. he attended Charles City High School and received his GED while in the service. he was united in marriage to Joan C. Rodamaker on Oct. 8, 1955, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. they moved back to the Charles City area after he retired from the Air Force in 1975.

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, then was a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Charles City for 15 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his son, Steven Cerwinske of Charles City; three daughters: Sheri Bayne of Citra, Fla., Sheila Alden of Titusville, Fla., and Sarah Straub of Bunker Hill, Ill.; one sister, Betty Ball of Ionia; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Joan C. Cerwinske, on July 24, 1993, and by his parents.
