Wohlea "Pat" Dorwin, 86, a former resident of 901 Court Street, Charles City, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Memorial services for Pat Dorwin will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2003, at the Grace Episcopal Church in Charles City. Mother Kate Campbell, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.

The family will greet friends at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003.

Wohlea Margaret Smith Dorwin was born December 1, 1916, at Charles City, the daughter of Alson and Margaret (Wachsmann) Smith. She graduated from the Charles City High School in 1935. On Sept. 9, 1950, she was united in marriage to John Dorwin at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Pat worked for many years in the office of Salsbury Laboratories. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and active in various church activities, and the Heritage Club. Pat enjoyed entertaining at their cottage on the Mississippi River in Lansing.

Living family members include three nieces: Sharon (Willie) VanHauen of DeSoto, Wis., Joanne Garry of Claremont, Calif., and Nancy (Greg) Ethington of Lake Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1985, a brother, Robert Smith, two sisters, Leota O'Meara, and Norma Hector, and a nephew, Scott Smith.

The family suggests memorials be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, Charles City site.

Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City is in charge of arrangements.
