CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Marjorie Heitmann, 79, formerly of 1781 Lancer Ave., Charles City, died Sunday (Dec. 22, 2002) at the Frederic Care Center in Frederic, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St. in Charles City, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag, pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Marjorie's cremains will be scattered at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.

FREDERIC, WIS. - Marjorie Heitmann, 79, a former resident of 1781 Lancer Avenue, Charles City, died Sunday Dec. 22, 2002 at the Frederic Care Center in Frederic, Wis.

Funeral services for Marjorie Heitmann will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. The Rev. Dennis Niezwaag, pastor of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Marjorie's cremains will be scattered at a later date.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

Marjorie Evelyn Nicholson Heitmann was born Aug. 25, 1923, at Blairsburg, the daughter of William Nelson and Sarah Anne (Adams) Nicholson. She graduated as salutatorian from the Floyd High School in 1939. On June 3, 1942, she was united in marriage to Melvin Heitmann at Charles City. They made their home west of Charles City for 55 years. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Living family members include a son, Bruce Heitmann (Deb) of Floyd; four daughters, Melanie Stumbaugh (Jerry) of Duarte, CA, Julie Young (Gary), and Melissa Hernandez (Anthony) both of Frederic, Wis., and Norah Heitmann (Darrell Stewart) Nora Springs; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Heitmann of Sugar Hill, Ga., 15 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1997, two sons, John Heitmann in 1989, and Timothy Heitmann in Feb. 2002, three brothers, and four sisters.

Hauser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
