CHARLES CITY- Eloise Gayther, 86, a resident of 1110 S. Main St., Charles City, died Friday (Nov. 29, 2002) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. The Rev. Paul Wilcox, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from noon until service time Tuesday.

Eloise Marion Runyard Gayther was born May 16, 1916 at Northwood, Minn., the daughter of Carl and Ada (Maechtle) Runyard. Her family moved to Charles City when Eloise was very young and she remained a life long resident of the community. She graduated from the Charles City High School in 1934.
On October 12, 1940, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Gayther. Gilbert died in 1986. Eloise was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the Charles City Woman's Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge, cooking, and canning. Her family was very important to her and she always looked forward to spending time with them.
Living family members include a daughter, Karen Fenster and husband Dennis of Minneapolis, Minn., a son, Dean Gayther of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and four grandchildren, Ellen and Aaron Fenster, and Will and James Gayther.
Her parents, husband, and two sisters, Gladys and Audrey, preceded her in death.
