CLARION, IOWA - Nellie D. (Christensen) Horn, of Clarion and formerly of Charles City, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at the USA Healthcare Center, Clarion, of complications of pneumonia at the age of 86.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sunnyside Chapel Funeral Home in rural Charles City, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City. Visitation will be held at the Sunnyside Chapel Funeral Home Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. until service time.

Nellie D. Christensen was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Greene, Iowa, to Hans P. and Clara E. (Druschel) Christensen. On March 31, 1935, she was wed in Charles City to Joseph R. Horn.

Living family members include her husband, Joseph Horn of Clarion; and a brother and his wife, Claude and Shirley Christensen of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth M. and one in infancy; and two sisters, Emma Parsons and Margaret Bray.

It is suggested that any memorials be made to the family.
