FLOYD, IOWA - Raymond G. LaCoste, 81, of 632 Floyd St., Rudd, died Saturday (Sept. 21, 2002) at his home.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m.Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Rudd, with the Rev. Terra Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye Ave., Nora Springs, with a prayer service at 7p.m.
The family suggests memorials to your favorite charities in memory of Raymond.

RUDD - Raymond G. LaCoste, 81, of 632 Floyd St., Rudd, died Saturday Sept. 21, 2002, at his home in Rudd. Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Rudd, with Rev. Terra Amundson officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.
Visitation will be today, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel in Nora Springs, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Raymond was born April 2, 1921, in Niles, the son of William and Emily (Gallop) LaCoste. He married Iris Thompson June 14, 1950, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Rockford. Raymond farmed in the Greene and Hampton area, drove truck and later was employed at Westway Consolidated in Rudd. He has been a life long resident in the Rudd area. Raymond enjoyed his pets, gardening and especially being with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Iris LaCoste, Rudd; seven children Diana Mentzer, Omaha, Neb., Alan LaCoste and his wife Sharon, Rudd, Karen Garrity and her husband Rod, Viola, Wis., Theresa Schwem, Greene, Barb Noss and her husband Kelly, Dougherty, Gail Krull and her husband Dan, Rockford, and Laura Hunt and her husband Steve, Bristol, Wis.; twenty-two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother Gilbert LaCoste and his wife Betty, Floyd, and sister-in-law Hilda LaCoste, Osage.
His parents, sons David and Michael LaCoste; son-in-law Marvin Mentzer; grandson Derek Spanjer; one brother Donald LaCoste and one sister Joyce Kleen preceded him in death.
Sheckler Colonial Chapel in Nora Springs is in charge of arrangements.
