NASHUA, IOWA -- Louise Wright, 85, passed away at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo on Friday morning, Sept. 6, 2002, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2002 at the United Methodist Church in Nashua with burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City. Visitation was on Sunday at the Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home in Nashua and will be one hour before the time of service at the church on Monday. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Louise was born in rural Nashua on Dec. 30, 1916 to Louis and Anna (Brugger) Legel. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1934 and attended Iowa State Teacher's College, earning her teaching certificate. Louise taught at the Flint Country School and Bradford Country School for five years.

She was united in marriage to Alden Wright on June 2, 1940 at the UCC/Pleasant Hill Church, and became a farmwife.

Those left to cherish her memorial include her husband, Alden, of Nashua, two sons; Larry (Jan) Wright of Northwood, and Jim Wright of Bonita Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Legel of Nashua; one sister; Esther Darrow of Charles City.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna Legel and a sister, Elsa Stille.
