CLETUS P. STAUDT

MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Cletus P. Staudt, 55, of 2405 Indigo Ave., died Thursday (July 4, 2002) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

His funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Roseville, with Monsignor Walter Brunken officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St. in Charles City, with a parish wake service at 7 p.m.

Cletus was born August 18, 1946, the son of Clement and Susan (Zeien) Staudt in Charles City. Cletus later graduated from Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock and continued his education at Iowa State University were he later graduated.

Cletus enjoyed helping others whether it was through singing for the River City Barbershop Chorus and the St. Mary's Catholic Church Choir or holding an active role on committees such as the Floyd County Hospital Board, the R-R-MR School Board, the Marble Rock Elevator Board, the River City Barbershop Board and coached Little League Baseball. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Cletus's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Those thankful for having shared in Cletus' life include his wife, Susan; three sons, Scott Staudt and his wife, Jolene, of Osceola, Kyle Staudt and his wife, Jessica, of Waterloo, Neb., Troy Staudt and his fiancee, Jana McBride, of Bellevue; one sister, Sister Marjorie Staudt of Pocahontas; one brother, Dennis Staudt and his wife, Patty, of Marble Rock, and three grandchildren; Garrett, Alyssa, and Grant Staudt.

Mr. Staudt was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Vince Staudt; and one grandson Drew Lensing.

Cletus was born August 29, 1946 the son of Clement and Susan (Zeien) Staudt in Charles City. Cletus later graduated from Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock and continued his education at Iowa State were he later graduated.

On August 18, 1966 Cletus was united in marriage to Susan Ryner in Rockford.

Cletus enjoyed helping others, whether it was through singing for the River City Barbershop Quartet and the St. Mary's Catholic Church Choir or holding an active role on committees such as the Floyd Co. Hospital Board, the R-R-MR School Board, the Marble Rock Elevator Board, the River City Barbershop Board and he coached Little League Baseball. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
