CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO - Mary Henniges, 94, formerly of Waverly, Iowa, died on July 4, 2002 in Circleville, Ohio. She was born Aug. 24, 1907 in Bremer County, Iowa, to Ed and Minnie (Briggs) Zwanziger.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11 at the Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Nashua, Iowa, with Pastor Linda Myren officiating. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Internment will be private at the Sunnyside Memory Gardens in Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa.
Mary taught school, was a graduate of Gates Business College in Waterloo, worked as a secretary at the State Hospital in Independence, taught Sunday School and was a life-long homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mary is survived by two daughters: Ramona (James) Edman of Circleville and Marilyn Cotton of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; two sisters; Nellie Oberheu of Plainfield and Nettie Dietz of Nashua; four grandchildren: Steven, Kristine and David Edman and Sara Cotton; three great-grandchildren: Joel Edman, Bailey Cotton and Grace Ratkey and many nieces and nephews with special nieces: Jeanette Schluter and Norma Biekert, both of Nashua.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; a sister, Ruth Hansen and a brother, Edward Zwanziger.
