CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Harold "Tim" Gayther, 86, 3021 210th St., died Thursday (April 4, 2002) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

His funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., Charles City, with the Rev. Ted Clark of Wesleyan Church of Charles City officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and will resume until the time of the service Monday.

Harold "Tim" Gayther, 86, a resident of 3021 210th Street, Charles City, Iowa, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Funeral services for Harold "Tim" Gayther will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. The Rev. Ted Clark, pastor of the First Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday.

Harold Kenneth Gayther was born May 17, 1915 in Floyd County, the son of Walter and Clara (Brown) Gayther. He received his education from the East St. Charles school and Charles City High School.

On June 29, 1946, he was united in marriage to Phyllis McManigle at Spring Valley, Minn. "Tim" farmed all of his life in the Charles City area. When he retired "Tim" started trucking for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, taking short trips, hunting, and appreciating nature in its many forms.

Living family members include his wife, Phyllis of Charles City; a daughter and her husband, Shirley and Duane Greenzweig of Charles City; two grandchildren, Lindsey Michael, and Steve Michael and wife Jackie; and a great granddaughter, Lexandria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
